Plan for the Future with Our Help

Posted Oct 2, 2025

Over half of Americans don’t have an up-to-date estate plan. While easy to put off, this important financial task ensures that your wishes are followed after your death, while reducing stress and the financial burden on grieving heirs.

INHS is hosting its upcoming annual estate planning class on October 21 as part of our Post-Purchase Homebuyer Education series, four classes that walk homeowners through important topics to consider after a home purchase. Our Wills and Estates class invites a local estate attorney to lead participants through all aspects of planning for their future to protect their assets, provide for their loved ones, and shape their legacy while they’re still alive.

“I still have to think about what I have to do,” said a past participant. “However, hearing [the attorney] explain it all … made me feel that I can do it.”

While an important financial planning task, an estate plan also provides a unique opportunity to support your values. A bequest can support the causes you hold dear for years to come, even in perpetuity. A legacy gift to a nonprofit organization ensures your life’s work lives on long after you’re gone. Whether it’s real property, a percentage of assets, a retirement account, or a fixed contribution, a legacy gift can make a lasting difference in the lives of your neighbors.
