INHS Hosts Virtual Information Session on Founders’ Way – View it Here

Posted Feb 11, 2021

INHS hosted a virtual information session on Thursday, February, 11 at 5 – 6 p.m. for its upcoming development, Founders Way. Construction on the affordable housing project is projected to begin early Spring 2021.

During the meeting, INHS Senior Real Estate Developer, Lynn Truame presented the most recent plans for the site, and provided an update on the status of the project, including a current timeline. Rich Potts, Vice President of Hamilton Stern Construction, who will oversee the construction of the project, was in attendance to answer questions, along with architect and owner of STREAM Collaborative, Noah Demarest.

Construction is proposed to begin at the former Immaculate Conception School site in early Spring. Exact dates will be announced as soon as they have been set.
Work will be conducted from 7:30 a.m.- 5:30 p.m. on weekdays, and on some Saturdays from 9:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. In an effort to limit noise and vibrations, steel-driven piles have been redesigned to a drilled foundation (drilled holes with steel inserted rather than driven steel; the drill pumps in stabilizing grout as it pulls out, and is intended to be less noisy and intrusive). Workers will be instructed not to use foul language as Beverly J. Martin School is located next door, and access to the site will be primarily from Court St.

For future project updates, visit, follow INHS on Facebook (@ithacanhs), or email to be added to the project update email list. You can send questions regarding the project to Lynn Truame at
