Cayuga Flats Scheduled for Completion Early 2021

Posted Sep 15, 2020

INHS’ Cayuga Flats project is a $9.2 million mixed-use, rehab and new construction project that’s part of the organization’s Scattered Site portfolio, one of the largest sources of affordable housing in the City of Ithaca. The project includes the rehab or new construction of 29 efficiency, 1, 2 and 3 bedroom apartments and two commercial spaces in the portfolio.

Renovations and upgrades of rehabilitated units include new roofs, heating systems, siding, flooring, kitchens, baths, landscaping, energy efficiency upgrades, and more.

The new construction project, 209 Elm Street in Ithaca, will contain 13 units: ten one-bedroom apartments and three two-bedroom apartments. Close to downtown and bus routes, the newly constructed building is in close proximity to shopping, and health and human services. It is scheduled to be completed by February 2021.

209 Elm Street will be constructed to extremely high-energy and green building standards, including EPA Energy Star and LEED-certified. Learn more about our sustainable practices here.

Applications for Elm Street can be found here, and floor plans can be found here. Applications must be submitted by December 1 to be accepted into the lottery, which will be held on December 15 at 3 p.m. via Facebook Live.
