50 Hours for 50 Years: A Day of Community Impact
Wow! We are incredibly grateful for the many dedicated individuals who rolled up their sleeves and joined us for our recent Volunteer Cleanup Day. Thanks to their hard work and enthusiasm, we not only met but exceeded our goal of logging 50 volunteer hours in honor of INHS’s 50th Anniversary Year.
Together, our amazing crew of volunteers made a meaningful impact across seven community sites in Ithaca and Trumansburg. From weeding and trimming to removing litter and planting vibrant flowers, their efforts helped beautify our shared spaces and strengthen the sense of community that makes these neighborhoods so special.
This day truly showcased the spirit of collaboration that drives our work. Donors, community partners, clients, neighbors, INHS employees, and board members all came together with a shared purpose—to care for the places we call home and create welcoming environments for everyone.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to every volunteer who contributed their time and energy. Your commitment helps bring our mission to life and demonstrates the power of community in action.
We would also like to recognize our partner organizations: HOLT Architects, Cornell University Community Relations, Tompkins Community Bank, Community Bank, N.A., Insero Advisors, Tioga State Bank, and Alternatives Federal Credit Union—for generously sharing their staff and supporting this effort. Your partnership made this day even more impactful.
Because of all of you, our neighborhoods are not only more beautiful—they are more connected. Thank you for helping us celebrate 50 years of building community.
