Homes purchased with INHS funds must meet basic standards. The house must be in good repair with heat, plumbing, and electricity operating. We will inspect the house you buy to make sure it meets these standards.
Some problems may have to be fixed before we can provide financing. Failing lead paint is a common issue in older homes. We will try to work with you to resolve issues.
INHS is checking the house to make sure it meets our lending standards.
We do not provide a written report like you will get from an inspector you
hire.
INHS has various programs to help you repair your home. We can meet with you
to review your plans and let you know if you qualify for (and can afford) the
financing we have available.
INHS usually requires professional contractors to do the work. It
ensures you’re getting the best job and
work will go more quickly when someone is working on it full time. If you
