In our "House Recycling" program we purchase and renovate deteriorated properties that are located in the City of Ithaca. Since the beginning of the program, in 1977, we have renovated over 100 buildings. We also build new, energy efficient houses that fit into the neighborhood.

These are not just cosmetic "make-overs." Our program takes the worst properties and totally renovates them from the foundation up.

These homes usually have:

  • brand new plumbing, heating, and electric systems
  • new roofs
  • new kitchens and baths
  • all new interior and exterior finishes
They are energy efficient and will be low-maintenance for many years.

These homes are sold to homebuyers at market value. Most houses require the buyer to fit certain income restrictions but some are available to all buyers. We welcome inquires about our projects at any time but only accept purchase offers near the end of construction; contact us for more information. INHS can provide the purchase financing.
